(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Arquette is "very courageous for going into rehab, according to his estranged wifes co-star.

The actor checked into a clinic in Los Angeles earlier this week and is reportedly being treated for alcohol issues. He announced he was having a trial separation from his wife Courteney Cox in October but they kept the reasons for the split private.

And his peer Brian Van Holt, who appears alongside Courteney in the sitcom Cougar Town, admires 39-year-old David for his attitude to his personal struggles.

"I think it's very courageous and I have a lot of respect for him for doing so," Brian told People magazine when asked about Davids decision to seek help. "My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, Courteney and everybody. I think it's fantastic."

The 41-year-old also revealed that there is a close-knit community on the set of the American show. He claimed that Courteney is the life and soul there and that he is fortunate to be surrounded by such talented people.

"We are quite lucky to have her as one of our ringleaders," Brian explained. "And the rest of the cast is really close. We are lucky that they are who they are, and I'm glad to have that relationship and trust and support." (C) Cover Media
