David Hasselhoff: Shirts go far

The 58-year-old actor-and-singer, who is renowned for his role as lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the US television series Baywatch, says dressing in classic attire will get you noticed.

David isn't afraid to show a little chest either if the weather permits.

"A nice, crisp shirt will get you far. It's just such a classic, you know? You want a nice collared shirt. That'll take you anywhere you want to go, baby. If it's a hot evening, undo a few buttons. I like that sexy Nikki Beach style," he explained in an interview with Esquire magazine.

David also offered tips on the perfect date attire. He believes a denim and suit jacket combination works best as it's flattering for any age.

"If I am taking a lady out, I like a smart suit jacket and jeans. That's a good look on a guy. It shows you have class and style, but you can hang with any age," he said.

David also thinks people shouldn't be afraid to "express" themselves through fashion. The television star has urged his fans to embrace their "wild" side when dressing to impress.

"My philosophy of summer dressing is: dress how you feel. Express yourself, enjoy yourself. Don't be afraid to go a little wild, but keep a handle on the classics," he warned. (C) Cover Media
