David Schwimmer too busy for Friends

27th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Schwimmer says he and his Friends co-stars "haven't been in the same room" together since the end of the show.

The American actor is best known for his role as Ross Gellar in the hit US drama series, which also starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arqutte, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry.

David, who was catapulted to worldwide recognition from his role on Friends, says that despite the great chemistry between all six actors on the popular series, he hasn't had a reunion with all of them since the show ended in 2004 because they've all been so busy.

"The person I'm most in touch with is Matt LeBlanc. I live in New York and everyone else is in Los Angeles. We have such different lives. We haven't all been in the same room since the show ended," he explained in an interview with BBC Breakfast.

David says ten years spent working on Friends was "the best". The star, who has since ventured into directing, has revealed that the comradery between the show's cast and crew was second to none, and made his time incredibly enjoyable.

"It was the best job to ever have. The collaborative spirit on the show, hands down, it's the best job I've ever had," he gushed.

It's taken time for people to disassociate David from Ross. The star has been behind the camera of late, and has directed films including Run Fatboy Run and upcoming drama Trust.

David hopes that his upcoming acting role at the beginning of next year will finally allow audiences to see him in a different light.

"I'm doing a film in January. I can't talk about anything, but I can say I don't look anything like myself and it's a crime drama," he revealed. "I think it's something that will take time. This role might be the one." (C) Cover Media
