(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Denise Richards has opened up about her botched boob job.

The actress first had the cosmetic surgery when she was 19-years-old but says she did not do enough research before undergoing the procedure and had a terrible experience.

She told Us Weekly while publicising her new book The Real Girl Next Door that she was in a rush to get bigger breasts after a friend had hers done.

"When I was 19, a doctor put in bigger implants than what I'd asked for. I was in such a hurry to get them that I didn't research my doctor," she shared.

Although unhappy with the first operation, she went under the knife a second time just before filming her 1998 movie Wild Things but wasn't satisfied with those results either.

"I felt very vulnerable," Denise said about not suing the surgeon. "I felt very vulnerable. I was getting ready to film Wild Things and I didn't want to get into a lawsuit with some plastic surgeon.

"It wasn't right what the doctor did, but it is what it is."

Denise, 40, says that after her third surgery she is finally happy with her physique called it a "long investment with breast implants".

The star recently adopted a baby, Eloise Joni, who joins her two other children Sam and Lola who she had with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. (C) Cover Media
