Social media platform was flooded with veteran actor Dilip Kumar's death news on Monday night. While few news articles carried the news of him being admitted to a hospital, others offered their condolences.However, the actor's recent tweet has put all the rumours to rest.

He wrote, "Phone calls from all over the world. All night. Your love and prayers and Allah's blessings cannot be thanked enough."

The actor now plans to be on the social networking platform on a regular basis.

"I plan to be regular on this medium. I've asked @faisalMouthshut to post what I dictate and read to me your messages," he added.

His wife Saira Banu while dismissing the rumour said, "A few VVIPs from Delhi came over to meet him so there was heavy police bandobast right from Worli to Bandra. The cops gathered too. This must have triggered the speculation. I've been getting calls from everywhere, but he is fine. We, in fact, even went for a drive and dinner."

His best buddy Amitabh Bachchan too took to twitter and rubbished the rumours."Some baseless rumours being spread about Yusuf Saheb - Dilip Kumar, being ill...Saira-ji just informed me he is perfectly fine," he tweeted.
