15th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Drew Barrymore says Justin Long is the cats pyjamas.

The actress has been in an on/off relationship with Justin for several years, and they appear in new movie Going the Distance together. Both have been reluctant to discuss whether they are dating at the moment, but it is clean Drew holds the star in high esteem.

He's the cat's pyjamas, Drew said. I couldn't love, respect, admire and enjoy that individual more than I do. It would be physically impossible for me to have any more giggly joy at this person.

Drew, 35, insists she is happy on her own, and wouldnt change her life for anything. She used to feel bad if she wasnt in a relationship, but has come to realise that shouldnt be the most important thing in her life.

Her new approach has changed her greatly, and Drew says she can almost feel herself growing up. "I'm really good on my own. I was good in my early teens, and then I got really bad at being alone for like ten years. And then for the last decade I've developed such a love of my independence that I have to go, OK, you've had dinner by yourself three nights in a row, now you have to see your friends, she explained to the September issue of Harpers Bazaar magazine.

I feel like some of my baby fat is going away, and that's not just physically, it's psychologically. I think that your body is in tune with your mind and your spirituality and your heart. If things are going better, I just think you look better."

Drew went to rehab when she was just a teenager, and has had a difficult relationship with her family. Despite that, she wouldnt change her experiences for anything, explaining they have helped shape her.

I have pulled myself out of a million potholes, she said. And I can see the potholes ahead of me. That doesn't mean that I could always do that so perfectly for my own life. I totally fall in potholes. Sometimes I fall so goddamn deep, I've got broken legs and I have to mend myself in the well and crawl back out." (C) Cover Media
