Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan has always been a socially active citizen. 

Right from supporting Narmada Bachao Andolan to his current philanthropist chat show 'Satyamev Jayate', Aamir makes sure that he gives back to the society in whichever capacity possible. 

Apart from showing vocal support towards the social welfare, Aamir has been associated with a couple of government programs as well. 

In the past, Aamir has been associated with the Ministry of Tourism's 'Atithi Devo Bhava' and the Ministry of Women & Child Development's malnutrition campaigns where he promoted the missions respectively. 

The impact of these campaigns has been notable and now that 'Satyamev Jayate' has made Aamir more credible in societal work, the Indian government has decided to rope him in again for another campaign. 

The Election Commission of India has approached Aamir to promote the right to vote amongst the masses through media campaigns. 

Through this, he will motivate and encourage people to go out and vote in the upcoming general elections. He will now be the face of the Election Commission's (EC) initiative to spread awareness about the importance of voting. 

It's yet another huge responsibility that Aamir is all set to shoulder. And as they say, 'With great power comes great responsibility', we hope this star is successful in inspiring people for good.
