(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Stone was initially terrified about appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man as she thought it would impact her life too much.
The actress portrays Gwen Stacy in the eagerly-anticipated superhero film, with her boyfriend Andrew Garfield starring in the title role.
Emma took some convincing about appearing in the movie, revealing The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence had a big impact on her decision.
"I love Jennifer Lawrence and I watched a lot of her interviews for Hunger Games it was kind of the same thing she was feeling," Emma explained.
"What scared me was the idea of, What could happen to my life after doing something like this?'
"But the part and the process outweighed that fear. It felt like a stupid reason to not be part of this what might happen [and] how [my] life could change didn't feel like enough of a reason to not play Gwen, not to get to be involved with this and not to get to act with Andrew or to get to tell the story in a different way."
Emma was initially thought to be portraying Mary Jane as she has famously sported red hair like the character and she admits feeling upset that she isn't taking on the role.
"I love Mary Jane so much, so it kind of breaks my heart that I couldn't be Mary Jane as well!" she laughed to Access Hollywood. (C) Cover Media
