Since the last few months, it was rumored that Saif Ali Khan was a front runner in the race to bag an upcoming comic thriller 'Ghanchakkar'. The film is being helmed by director Raj Kumar Gupta who has directed 'Aamir' and 'No One Killed Jessica' in the past. However it was recently confirmed that it is not Saif but Emraan Hashmi who will be the lead actor of the film.

Emraan was ecstatic to bag the film, "Ghanchakkar is one of the best scripts I have come across in recent times", said the serial kisser. He further revealed "It is commercial, edgy and very entertaining."

The director Raj Kumar Gupta however talked more about the theme of the film, "It is a quasi-realistic urban comedy-thriller, highlighting the absurdity of certain real human situations."

Well we hope this comic caper adds yet another successful film in Emraan's list.
