(Cover) - EN Fashion - FrostFrench plan to put on an “interactive” fashion show next February.
The fashion label is run by friends Sadie Frost and Jemima French, who set it up in 1999. It ran into financial difficulties in 2008, but the designers have now managed to get back on their feet.
They have not staged a catwalk show for a while, but are starting to come up with ideas for one next year. “We are thinking of doing a new show next February,” the designers explained to vogue.co.uk. “We have a few ideas that we can't discuss quite yet but it'll be interactive and will show our clothes in a fresh and original way. We've done real statement shows before, like the one we held at Regent's Park, and our next would have to be very different. We want to move slowly in a way we can manage.”
Sadie is good friends with supermodel Kate Moss, who has worn the label’s pieces in the past. Sadie is unsure whether she will grace the runway for them, explaining she and Jemima are keen to take things slowly this time around. Although they would love for their collections to be available all over the world, they hope spending time building up the label will stand it in good stead for the future.
“I wouldn't rule it out,” Sadie said when asked about Kate taking part in the show. “But sometimes it’s liberating to do things on your own. Kate's got her fashion line now and there are other factors involved that weren't there before. It's really nice to be able to call in favours from your friends but it’s great to be independent too."
