George Clooney is "barely talking" to his girlfriend Stacy Keibler, according to reports.

The Hollywood heartthrob was forced to deny his one-year romance had ended last month, insisting the rumours were a "fabrication". However, insiders claim the relationship is on the rocks and could be over soon.

Stacy recently attended a party and according to an onlooker the blonde beauty was seen in tears and kept checking her cell phone to see if George had tried to contact her.

"They're barely talking," a source told New York Daily News' Confidenti@l. "She is worried that he may break up with her any day now."

Another source claims Stacy "refused to talk about George" when she attended a recent cooking event.

Stacy and George have been spending a lot of time apart recently, fuelling speculation their romance is in trouble. Stacy, 32, has been in New York City, while George is shooting a new movie in Oklahoma.

"George is being really distant and pulling away from her. She wakes up every morning and doesn't know what's going to happen," a source claimed.

Insiders on George's latest movie set told the publication that the 51-year-old actor is focusing on his work and "hasn't said much about Stacy".
