(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Giuliana Rancic "couldn't believe" how soon she went back to work after undergoing a double mastectomy.

The presenter was back at work two weeks after the operation and reconstructive surgery following her breast cancer diagnosis. Giuliana - who stars in a reality TV show alongside husband Bill Rancic - shocked herself with her speedy recovery.

"The day after my surgery Bill was filming me on the phone with a Britney Spears source trying to break the news that she got engaged," she told the UK edition of OK! magazine.

"I watched the footage recently and I couldn't believe I did that. I was having fun and it was a good distraction. Yes, it's major surgery and a lot of recovery, but if I'm feeling good then why not get back to work. That's the road I choose. Some people like to enjoy their misery and with me, I enjoy being positive."

Despite remaining upbeat about her illness, Giuliana has previously revealed she hasn't always felt confident following her diagnosis. While wearing a dress during last year's award season she felt that everyone was looking at her chest as she spoke to them.

"I'd be about to interview someone and I'd notice they'd see me pulling up my dress and [wonder] if they were looking at my boobs," she said. (C) Cover Media
