Giuliana Rancic has revealed her thoughts on the after effects of her impending double mastectomy.
The 36-year-old E! News host spoke about the procedure on The Wendy Williams Show yesterday and says she is not worried about how she will look after the surgery.
In fact, she maintains that she will be a better person for what she is going through and will honour her scars.
"Listen, I love my girls [but] I'm gonna feel more like a woman when this is all done," she told Wendy. "I think scars are beautiful. I think scars tell a story."
Her husband Bill was right by her side and said they will be a "badge of courage."
Giuliana will undergo breast reconstruction immediately after the double mastectomy which has been scheduled for later this month.
The television personality shared that she and Bill even had a lighthearted approach to her ordeal and at times found the funny side, including when she had to choose her implants.
"They might come out looking even hotter," she laughed about her new cleavage. "You gotta have fun with this. We find the humour in everything. Bill helped pick em out. I'm like Billy, that big? Really?'"
Bill added that mastectomy surgery has come a "long way" and the before and after images they had been shown were "remarkable."
Giuliana went straight back to work after announcing on Monday that she was choosing to have the surgery to eliminate ,as much as possible, any chance of her breast cancer returning.
The lumpectomy she had last month was unsuccessful in getting all of the cancer out.
"I'll be back on E! News Monday and then I'll be out of your hair for two weeks," she told Ryan on his radio show yesterday.
