Gurukiran is in a fix

For months now, Gurukiran is struggling to come up with a name for his newly built home in Vijayanagar. Only the design of the name board, with symbols of musical notes, is ready. The space for the name is kept empty. The house warming ceremony is on today, Gurukiran and wife Pallavi have invited their friends from the industry.

Scoring music for over 50 films, Gurukiran has also turned a lyricist off late. Yet, he is finding difficulty for a proper name to his house. "I hope to come with a name very soon", he says.

Gurukiran started composing music for films with 'A' in 1997. A native of Mangalore, he settled down in Bangalore in the early 2000's. He has composed music for over 70 films so far. 'Chitra', 'Appu', 'Chandu', 'Kariya', 'Aptha Mithra', 'Aptha Rakshaka', are some of his well-known films.

Gurukiran's uniqueness is that all the debut directors that he has scored music for, have become hits.
