Gwen Stefani reveals No Doubt tears

7th September 2012

Gwen Stefani couldn't help crying when she reunited with her No Doubt bandmates.

The lead singer of the hit band described how it felt to be back on stage as a group again. The star is promoting No Doubt's new album Push and Shove which they have been slowly putting together since 2009. The band decided to take a break in 2004 and Gwen explained how great it was when they got back together.

"It's so natural to be back on stage with these guys. I was in tears most nights because it was so amazing," Gwen explained to British newspaper The Sun.

"I said, All those people showed up. What's it going to be like when we have new music?' It was so inspiring that we got home and started writing. It was great because I'd felt so homebound when I was pregnant. This gave me my life back."

The successful fashion designer and mother of two continued to describe how important it is to her to be part of No Doubt. Although she enjoyed pursuing a solo career, she feels most comfortable with the group.

"It was fun to experiment and work with outside writers but it was intimidating," Gwen confessed. "Walking into a session with somebody you think is a genius, and they're sitting there going, I work with everyone - what have you got?' And you're, like, Not much. I don't even know how I wrote a song."
