(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow is set to appear on Glee.

The actress is said to be in talks to make a guest appearance on the hit American programme, which is about a high school singing club. Glee is renowned for attracting big name stars - Olivia Newton John appeared in the first series, and Britney Spears will feature in the second and Gwyneth is the latest to be interested in a role.

The Hollywood star will apparently be a love interest for Matthew Morrison's character Will Schuester, and will sing and dance. According to rock-solid Glee sources, Gwyneth would play a substitute teacher in two episodes airing in November. Mr. Schuester gets sick, so Gwyneth's character steps in and takes over the glee club, reports E! online. The kids love her, and Will starts to fall for her...

Gwyneth is good friends with series creator Ryan Murphy, who is said to have penned the part with her in mind. Ryan is also planning to direct at least one of the episodes with her in, which will likely be shot within the next two weeks.

Gwyneth is due to show off her vocal talents in her new movie Country Strong, about up-and-coming country music star Beau Williams, portrayed by Garrett Hedlund, who becomes friends with an older singer called Kelly Canter, played by Gwyneth. She recorded a song, also called Country Strong, for the part. (C) Cover Media
