Harshvardhan Kapoor to star as Abhinav Bindra in Kannan Iyer's upcoming movie which is based on Bindra's autobiography. The actor made his debut in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Mirzya,' has now signed his third movie in a row.
Harshvardhan, who is committed to shooting Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Bhavesh Joshi,' posted on Instagram to make the official announcement where the actor was seen with the Olympician smiling and the caption read as "Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on the world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play #AbhinavBindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend! Like the man himself said, “Hard Work is a talent.” #LetsDoThis."
Talking about Abhinav Bindra, he is the first Indian athlete to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics, winning the 10 m Air Rifle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic games having won the gold at the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships.
With the number of biopics lined up like 'Haseena Parkar' (Shraddha Kapoor), 'Daddy' (Arjun Rampal), Sanjay Dutt biopic (Ranbir Kapoor), Saina Nehwal biopic (Shraddha Kapoor) here is another film added in the biopic club.
The actor seems dedicated with Bindra's role and regularly visits the shooting sets, meeting Abhinav Bindra's coach and getting into the shoes of the Olympic shooter character as early as possible.
