Heather Locklear's parents have assured fans she is in "no danger".
The 50-year-old actress was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon after taking a reported concoction of prescription drugs and alcohol. It's understood her sister called emergency services after she started to fear the star might hurt herself.
Heather was taken to a medical centre in Thousand Oaks, California, and her parents were soon there with her.
"She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine," her mother and father Bill and Diane Locklear said in a statement issued by Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center.
The star is medically stable but was being kept in for observation overnight.
It's understood Heather has been struggling to cope since her engagement to Jack Wagner was called off last year.
"[The family member] was afraid Heather was going to harm herself because of her drinking mixed with medication. That was behind the 911 call," a source told RadarOnline.com. "911 personnel were at her house for more than an hour before she went with them."
The actress has suffered personal problems in the past. In 2008 it was claimed she'd tried to commit suicide, although the allegation was later denied. She was helped for anxiety and depression issues later that year.
