Veteran actress Hema Malini met with an accident in Jaipur last night in which her speeding vehicle driven by her driver killed four year girl.

Her speeding vehicle hit a Maruti Alto leading to the death of the girl, who was travelling with her family.

Hema Malini has injures on her legs, back and above her eyes. The actress has received four stitches. Besides her, deceased parents and her sibling are hospitalized.

As per reports from Fortis Hospital, the actress underwent a surgery in the midnight yesterday, after sustaining a nasal fracture, injuries on para-nasal points.

Driver was saved due to airbags, however the actress sitting on the back seat hit against the LCD screens on front seat. 

Senior police officer Rajinder Tyagi said,"I am being told the Mercedes was speeding. It drove over the divider."

Dausa Superintendent of Police, Anshuman Bhomia said, "Five people were injured and out of them Sonam died. Sonam's mother and brother have been referred to SMS (Sawai Man Singh) hospital."

Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the news of Dausa accident. I pray for the victims. We're making all efforts to provide immediate relief and medical care."
