(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hilary Duff says she feels "so fortunate" to have her three-week-old son Luca Cruz.

The 24-year-old actress welcomed her first child with former hockey player husband Mike Comrie, 31, last month.

And although motherhood has been a steep learning curve for Hilary, she told Life & Style that she would not have it any other way.

"The past couple of weeks have been the most joyful time," she told the publication. "Luca makes us smile all day, every day!"

"I'm a bit short on sleep, but he has been the best behaved little boy. We are so fortunate to have a strong, healthy and happy baby."

Hilary and Mike tied the knot in August 2010 after a six-month engagement.

The actress also recently said that she "appreciated" her own mother more now that she has become a parent herself. (C) Cover Media
