In recent times, news about the biopic on the troubled star Sanjay Dutt's life has been hogging headlines. 

The fact that Sanjay Dutt's controversial life will be on screen revealing the lesser known facets of his struggle has sent ripples across the country. This is the prime reason why the film is gaining importance with each passing day. 

The latest news to hit the marquee is the report which confirms that Film's Director Rajkumar Hirani will not only helm the biopic but will also co-produce the same with Sanjay's wife Maanayata. 

As soon as the news of the film broke, there were rumours that Raju might co-produce the same. But in recent times, it has been confirmed that he is all set to put his money in the same project. 

The director is very excited and Ranbir Kapoor who will live Sanju's life on-screen too is keen to start the film as soon as possible.
