Huma Qureshi  made an unconventional entry in Bollywood with the film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' where she played the bold village belle. Her films like 'Ek Thi Daayan' and 'Dedh Ishqiya' proved that the actress has chosen the road less taken for her Bollywood journey.

And it is this choice that has made her popular. She recently won an award for her scintillating performance in Abhishek Chaubey's 'Dedh Ishqiya' (2014).

This has made her parents immensely proud of their daughter. They are so happy with the award that they have asked her to get the trophy back home to Delhi, so that they can proudly showcase their daughter's achievements.

"My parents had loved the film, and are elated by the kind of response it has received. And yes, they have asked me for one of the awards from the season to keep it as a memento in our Delhi house," confirmed Huma.
