Post the debacle of his debut production venture 'One By Two', rumors of Abhay Deol being broke surfaced.

Buzz was that Abhay had mortgaged one of his apartments in Mumbai, however, the outspoken actor has shunned these rumors.

"I have taken a regular loan but sometimes media becomes the judge and the jury. I took a loan after 'Dev D' also but they would not report that because the film was a hit," Deol told in an interview.

"Sometimes you take a small loan because your money is constantly invested here and there. It is a normal procedure. I am certainly not broke," he further added.
