Responding to reports appeared in a section of the media, cinematographer-director K V Anand has cleared the air by saying that he did not have any plans to work with Superstar Rajinikanth.

'I am currently busy giving final touches to Maatraan. The shooting is 90 per cent over. At present, I don't have any idea to direct a film starring Rajinikanth sir in the lead role,' Anand said.

Anand, who had earlier worked with Rajini in 2007, as the cinematographer of Sivaji The Boss, says, 'The Superstar is so simple and humble. But directing his film is a Himalalyan task. It is no easy thing.'

On Maatraan, he adds: 'Suriya has worked hard for the movie and it will be a different kind of entertainer in all aspects. My thanks to producer Kalpathi S Aghoram for his support and encouragement.'
