After a failure at the box-office 'Jab Harry Met Sejal', director Imtiaz Ali unites with Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures for a film titled 'Laila Majnu'. The news was announced earlier on Balaji Motion Pictures official twitter handle with a picture of Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor posing at the camera.

The tweet read "The epic love story is back! From the house of dream storytellers! @ektaravikapoor and Imtiaz Ali are teaming up for a modern retelling of #LailaMajnu #ImtiazAlisLailaMajnu releases on 4th May."

Even Ekta Kapoor announced the same and tweeted, "Excited to recreate the epic love story, #LailaMajnu with master storyteller Imtiaz Ali. @balajimotionpic #ImtiazAlisLailaMajnu #LailaMajnuOn4thMay." This will be the first-ever collaboration of the two. 

In fact, Ekta Kapoor even unveiled the films first poster and tweeted, ''Recreated. Re-imagined. Retold. Proud to collaborate with Imtiaz Ali to present a classic love story with a contemporary twist. Here's the teaser poster of #LailaMajnu, which will be out on 4th May. @balajimotionpic #ImtiazAlisLailaMajnu.''

This passionate romantic flick is directed by Sajid Ali and co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Preeti Ali other than Ekta. The poster comprises of a picturesque snowy region and looks like the film's plot will revolve around the backdrop of a snowy location. The film is set to hit theatres on May 4.
