The 35-year-old rapper is currently working on his seventh solo album The Renaissance Project which is due for release later this year. The hit maker says he has re-evaluated his subject matter in his most recent tracks, and penned his lyrics with womens feelings in mind.

I wanted to tell some stories. I wanted to touch on some different topics. Play with the females a little bit. But really talk to them, heart to heart talk. Not just party and bulls**t talk, he revealed to Hip Hop Weekly. I got some really fun records for the ladies on here that I think theyre gonna enjoy. Its really intellectual conversation throughout the record.

Ja Rule says his change in direction is down to his life experiences. The American star says his lyrics have matured as he has.

I have just been on a different vibe lately. I think its just me getting older, growing up, starting to really like take in things, and appreciate the things that are around me and the things that I see in the travels that I go on, he added. (C) Cover Media
