Jack Black: I love School of Rock

11th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jack Black thinks a sequel to School of Rock would be a "tall order".

The comedian called the original release the favourite film that he has ever made. The comedy centres on a failed rock star who poses as a substitute teacher and tries to transform a class of preppy children into the ultimate rock band.

Black hopes a sequel will be made but worries it could never live up to the first.

"The pressure with School of Rock is it's my best film," he told a UK TV show. "It's my favourite film that I've done. The only way I'll do a sequel is it it's at least as good or better and that's a tall order."

The American funnyman is currently starring in the sequel to his Dreamworks animated film Kung Fu Panda with Angelina Jolie. In the martial arts film Kung Fu Panda 2 Black plays a lovable Panda who must fight a villainous peacock set on world domination.

Black enjoyed voicing the character of Po, but has his sights set on a more evil role in the future. "I'd love to play a villain of some kind, be it the devil or some kind of Darth Vader sci-fi one or a psycho," he said. "You never know. It's time to explore the darker side." (C) Cover Media
