The modest Malayalam film 'Body Guard' made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil is all set to be remade in Kannada with comedy king Jaggesh in the lead. Interestingly, the Kannada version will have its release in September, ahead of the Hindi and Telugu versions.

The Kannada version will have a local director, says, actor Jaggesh, who will produce the film. Jaggesh bought the remake rights with the help of producer Rockline Venkatesh. Jaggesh's previous film 'Double Decker' was released exactly 90 days from the mahurat date. It was not a box-office hit. It suffered because of the cricket season.

The Malayalam version had Dileep play the lead while the Tamil and Hindi had Vijay and Salman Khan fight with the villains respectively and now, Kannada actor cum politician Jaggesh will be guarding the heroine who is yet to be finalized.
