(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jay-Z is intent on "enjoying moments" with his daughter Blue Ivy Carter while she is still a babe.
The hip hop mogul's wife Beyonc Knowles gave birth to Blue Ivy in January.
Jay-Z, who released song Glory in dedication to his baby days after she was born, is happy to have culled his professional obligations a bit in light of his new fatherly duties.
"I thought that I would [write a lot] after my daughter was born," Jay-Z told MTV News. "I thought I would be more inspired with all the new feelings and everything that I'd have to write about, but it really happened the other way. I just really wanna hang out with her. I just wanna enjoy those moments for a bit and I'm sure that feeling of music will come back to me."
Jay-Z also crafted a song for his mother in the past called Regrets.
The musician confesses that his songs are highly emotive.
"My music has always been like that, if you listen to Glory and you listen to Regrets, which was on my first album, side by side, it's exploring the same sort of emotions," Jay-Z shared. "It's just one deals with my mom, one deals with my daughter." (C) Cover Media
