(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jay-Z has invested in a chicken wing restaurant which gives free food to school children.

The rapper is renowned for having one of the biggest business brains in music, thanks to his entrepreneurial skills. The star was estimated to be worth around $450 million last year, made from selling around 50 million albums worldwide and his clothing line, nightclub and stake in a basketball team. Jay-Z also founded management, music publishing and entertainment company Roc Nation.

The star has now found a new venture to support, the Buffalo Boss restaurant in Brooklyn. The 41-year-old has secretly invested in the company according to reports, and his mother Gloria and sister Andrea are also involved with the eatery, which is owned by the rappers cousin Jamar White.

The joint is already making a positive impact in the community - recently rewarding outstanding students at a local middle school with free food! How awesome is that?! reports TMZ.

The restaurant specialises in buffalo wings. Jay-Zs involvement in the venture has not been released.

The stars decision to get involved with the restaurant will surprise many, as he has previously admitted he finds chicken hard to stomach. Jay-Zs family had money troubles when he was young, and the white meat always reminds him of them.

We ate a lot of chicken, you know, because chicken's cheap, we had so much chicken - chicken backs, chicken everything... to this day, I can only eat small pieces or else I feel funny, he said. (C) Cover Media
