The 31-year-old American actress portrays uptight guidance counsellor Emma Pillsbury on the hit US musical show.

Although the star dons some rather un-seductive attire in her role as the germophobe teacher, she is considered somewhat of a style icon off-set.

Jayma owes her style credentials to the shows stylist, who she goes to for fashion inspiration and advice.

Actually that is thanks to Lou Eyrich, the Glee stylist, not me, she told Grazia magazine. Shes the best-dressed lady you will ever meet. She has such an eye for knowing how to dress different types of people.

Jayma was never interested in clothes before she became a household name. The actress - who has never seen the point in spending lots of money on trends - says that since starring in Glee she is more aware of fashion.

Ive always liked them, but I would never break the bank on them. Im a little bit too conservative for that. To this day half my wardrobe is probably H&M. Ive learned a lot about fashion from things like doing photoshoots, she added. (C) Cover Media
