Jennie Garth has reportedly reached out to Amanda Bynes following her DUI arrest.

The pair starred together in What I Like About You and Jennie wanted to make sure that she was not going down a slippery slope of trouble.

Although Jennie is currently going through a divorce from Twilight actor hunk Peter Facinelli, she wanted to be there for Amanda who has become a regular on the Hollywood party circuit.

"Jennie and Amanda have been close for the past 10 years," an insider told the National Enquirer. "Jennie was like a big sister to her when they worked together."

"She was aware of Amanda's increased partying and downward spiral but had enough to deal with as her marriage began to crumble."

But after Amanda's arrest Jennie "immediately reached out to her friend."

"She put her own problems on hold and told Amanda that she'd be there for her no matter what," the insider added.

"Jennie really would love for Amanda to stay with her and the girls at their country home to take a break from LA."
