(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jenny McCarthy has called her romance quits.

The 39-year-old actress and Playboy model has officially split with her beau of a few months Chicago Bears American football player Brian Urlacher.

Although the pair are no longer romantically involved, Jenny and Brian will maintain a close relationship.

"Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship," the star told People magazine in a statement.

"I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears!"

Jenny recently made the move from Los Angeles with her son, where she lived for many years, to her hometown of Chicago.

She explained previously that the relocation was inspired by love and family.

"Well, I'm from there and I feel like my son is not getting the childhood that I wanted in L.A.," she revealed to OK! magazine in July.

"On top of that, I met someone I like and care about, so all those things combined takes me back home.

"The relationship is still new, but my son loves being back in Chicago with his friends. His happiness is the most important thing to me and my mom and dad live there so, we'll see how the relationship develops." (C) Cover Media
