(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jessica Simpson's one-day-old daughter Maxwell Drew has a healthy appetite like her mother, it is reported.

The fashion mogul and fianc Eric Johnson welcomed their first child on Tuesday.

And Us Weekly states that the 9lb 13oz little girl is doing very well as Jessica recovers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

"[Maxwell] is eating like a champ and has a big appetite," a source told the publication.

"The birth went smoothly and [the new parents] are over the moon about the baby."

Jessica is expected to remain in hospital for "the next few days" but she is "already walking around."

"Everyone is marvelling at what a natural Jessica is," the source added. "She was born to be a mom!"

Jessica is reportedly set to continue building on her fortune with new maternity and baby ranges being added to her fashion and merchandise empire now that she has become a mother.

She is also rumoured to receive around $700,000 for the first baby pictures of Maxwell and has a multi-million dollar Weight Watchers endorsement lined up to help her shed the post-pregnancy pounds. (C) Cover Media
