Jessica Simpson wants to be pregnant again in a couple of years.

The star and her American football player beau Eric Johnson are currently expecting their first child together.

Although she is yet to welcome the tot, Jessica says if all goes well she's hoping to add to her brood fairly soon.

"I eventually want to have both a boy and a girl. I want them to be close in age, but I don't know what it's going to be like after I pop the baby out," she explained.

"If it goes as good as it is now, it'll be in the next couple of years."

Jessica does not yet know the sex of her unborn baby. When she does make the discovery she joked the news will be public straight away due to her inability to keep a secret.

"I will find out at some point. I want to buy the clothes and do the nursery, so when I know, everybody will know because I have a very big mouth," she joked in an interview with Closer magazine.
