Jessica Simpson feels "empowered" by her pregnancy.

The 31-year-old singer and fashion designer is currently expecting her first child with former professional American football player Eric Johnson.

Jessica is enthused by the way carrying a child is boosting her confidence.

"Right now I feel empowered and sexy," she told Us Weekly.

"I'm really loving having life inside of me and I'm doing cheesy things."

Jessica has embraced her baby weight. She is a fan of flaunting her maternal curves.

"Right now I'm definitely bigger than I've ever been and very top-heavy, but I like wearing more fitted things - you want to show off your bump. And heels. I'm probably going to deliver the baby in Yves Saint Laurent heels!"

Jessica and Eric are expecting to have their child next spring.

Until Jessica gives birth next year, the singer is focused on enjoying the holiday season as much as possible.

"I love holidays, so it looks like autumn just vomited all over my house."
