Jessie J thinks it's "wrong" that people are "ridiculed" on TV talent shows.
The British songstress was recently named as a coach and a mentor on upcoming television series, The Voice UK.
She also appeared at the judges' homes stage of the UK X Factor to help Tulisa Contostavlos pick her finalists.
Jessie thinks there's too much pressure on the judging panel.
"Because The X Factor is so commercial, the media seem to think they can rip up every single thing about you. I don't like the way some people are ridiculed on TV it's wrong. For me it's about talent. It shouldn't be an entertainment show, but sometimes I feel it is," she told more! magazine.
"The thing about being a judge is the pressure on you to be perfect and not make a mistake."
Jessie thinks critiquing young music hopefuls is harder than it looks. The 23-year-old star says being on the judging panel has its disadvantages.
"When you're put in that position where you make the decision, you might not make the one everyone in the world agrees with," she added.
