Model turned Actor John Abraham has spent almost a decade in the industry and during this phase he has seen all the highs and lows of his career. Despite of being lashed out by critics, John has consistently managed to give critically acclaimed performances in his films like "Kabul Express", "New York" and "No Smoking".
The actor has yet again taken up an unconventional film that will further challenge him as an actor. John, who recently launched his home production, announced a film "Vicky Donor" under it and even before his first film could go on floors he has announced his next titled "Jaffna" that will be helmed by Shoojit Sircar. The film is touted to be a political thriller based on the activities of 'Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam' (LTTE) in Sri Lanka.
The director who is also directing John’s first production claimed that when he offered John the film, he without wasting a minute immediately agreed to do it. "John is a politically aware actor. He’s aware of the ongoing in the world. He is clued in to the dynamics of the separatist strife in Sri Lanka. The minute I told him about my film he was on board," said Shoojit.
