(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jon Hamm is petrified of walking the red carpet because its so crazy.
The actor got his big break with hit US drama series, Mad Men in 2007. Jon portrays misogynistic advertising executive Don Draper in the series and his performance earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama series in 2008.
The hunky star gained global recognition with Mad Men, but he remains humble. Although he is grateful to have enjoyed so much success in his career, the 39-year-old has revealed the glamour of the Hollywood red carpet isnt necessarily all its cracked up to be.
I dont think anybody really enjoys any of that stuff, he told ET. I think for most people its a means to an end.
It's nice when you get the opportunity to especially be recognised for something you're proud of or a chance to let people know about something that you're working on and stuff like that, but it is crazy.
The actor and his long-term actress girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt are working alongside one another in the upcoming film Friends with Kids. The 41-year-old star agrees with her boyfriend of 14 years, explaining she finds industry parties unnatural.
I just find the actual red carpet tarrying, she added.
Jennifer took on the roles of screenwriter, director and actress for the new film. It explores the lives of friends whose relationship is altered once children come onto the scene. Jon who appears alongside Megan Fox in the low-budget film - gushed about his girlfriends contribution to the project.
Its been amazing to watch Jen handle it all, because its a tremendous amount of work, he said.
