Joseph Gordon-Levitt silent on Inception debate

7th May 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joseph Gordon-Levitt refuses to discuss his understanding of Inception as it would ruin the movie for other people.

The 30-year-old star played Arthur in the 2010 mind-bending action film. The storyline left many people puzzled and the ending sparked a host of debates among movie fans. Even though Joseph has his own view on the picture, he has vowed to remain silent because he enjoys the idea of other people expressing their opinions.

I love movies that cause a conversation and if I were to say, Well what it means is then that would be a conversation killer, because people would be saying, No the actor in the movie says it means this so you are wrong. That would be sad to me because my favourite movies are the ones that give you something to talk about, he explained.

Joseph also spoke about his movie Hesher, in which he plays the title character a loner who hates the world. The role was a transformation for the actor; in the movie he sports long greasy hair and homemade tattoos. Joseph enjoyed getting into the part and admits he learnt a lot from the characters state of mind.

Hesher is fearless, he just doesnt care about a lot of things like material possessions or the future, he added. It was illuminating for me to spend time in that head space and just think about what I was feeling right now. (C) Cover Media
