(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julianne Moore is to play US politician Sarah Palin in an HBO movie.

The actress will portray the former Governor of Alaska in Game Change, which is based on a book of the same name written by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.

The picture will be centred around John McCains campaign to become President of the USA in 2008. He chose Sarah as his running mate at the time, meaning she was vying for the position of Vice President.

HBO has confirmed Julianne has won the role, although the other characters including current US President Barack Obama, who eventually won the election have not been decided upon yet.

Further details of the movie havent been released.

Sarah is a divisive figure in America, with many people staunch supporters of her and others dismissing her. She has been criticised for not knowing enough about international politics and for making uninformed statements Sarah once claimed Alaska was right over the border from Russia, which made her knowledgeable about foreign policy.

Comedian Tina Fey is famed for her impression of the politician, which she made famous on US show Saturday Night Live. (C) Cover Media
