Justin Bieber says that claims he is the father of a three-month-old baby is similar to David Beckham being accused of infidelity.
The 17-year-old spoke to Britain's Star magazine following allegations that he had a sexual liaison with Mariah Yeater backstage at one of his concerts last year which resulted in her getting pregnant.
But the Somebody To Love singer says that although it is commonplace for celebrities to have false reports about them, he doesn't think it's right and it is not just him that it has happened to.
"I don't think it's just me that is target," he told the publication. It happens to lots of people in the industry. David Beckham went through some similar stuff recently, and you just wonder how these publications can keep being allowed to get away with this stuff."
Justin says that the 20-year-old fan who claimed she had a "30-second tryst" with him is just doing it for fame.
"I guess for attention," Justin said of Mariah's allegations. "But it's not something I am interested in. These people are not worth my thought or time."
Justin has been dating girlfriend Selena Gomez for nearly a year and says that she too is accustomed to dealing with the pressures of being well known and is handling the baby allegations well.
"She is doing great like me she just ignores things," Justin revealed. "She had to get used to some pretty horrible stuff being said about her on Twitter when we first got together, and since then she has just learned to ignore all the rubbish that is written about us."
Justin added that he is not worried about his reputation being tarnished as his family and fans have been very supportive and "dismissed [the allegations] as the rubbish that they are."
If given the opportunity to speak to Mariah, Justin said he would say "nothing" to her because he wouldn't want to "waste my time."
However he admits that he would be willing to take a paternity test to prove that he is not the baby boy's father.
"All this stuff is dealt with by my legal team," he said of a possible DNA analysis. "But if they want me to then I will."
Justin said that although this child is not his, he does want to become a father when he is relatively young.
"I would love kids one day a great wife and lots of kids is a big dream of mine," he maintained. "Selena and myself are still very young, and we won't be having kids just yet, but I would like to be a young dad. Having a big family is one of my biggest goals in life."
