Justin Timberlake: Women dont want to be Cinderella

16th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Justin Timberlake thinks the modern woman does not need to feel like Cinderella.

The American pop star helped exclusive fashion house Givenchy sell Play for Him and is now lending his face to the womans version of the fragrance entitled Play For Her.

While aiding the creation of a ladys scent may seem challenging for a man, the former N-Sync singer said that he conquered the task by bringing his strong ideals about womanhood to the product.

I think the modern woman doesnt need to be sold on feeling like Cinderella. I feel like this is a little more tangible, a little more real, he told People magazine. I think that perfume should be experienced in a layer.

The 29-year-old said that he wanted to collaborate with the French label because its sophisticated, chic and epitomised his own style.

Justin also admitted that despite not considering the option of a womans fragrance until later on, he believes that Play for Him has crossed over perfectly into femininity.

Ive always loved Givenchys brand just because its very sleek and very modern, he said. We didnt get into a partnership to create a womens fragrance. We got into a partnership to create a mens fragrance. But I think that they saw the opportunity and it translated very well. (C) Cover Media
