Surgical strike on Pakistan which happened a few months back left a deep impact on the film fraternity of both the sides. While India banned Pakistani actors to work in Indian films, Pakistan on the other hand banned the screening of Indian films in their cinemas. But now the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan has announced that they have lifted the ban on Indian movies and Rakesh Roshan's 'Kaabil' is the first movie to be screened in cinemas there.
Rakesh Roshan shared this news on Twitter by tweeting, "Yes it's true! Kaabil releasing tonight in Karachi at 11pm & shows starting tomorrow across Pakistan." A leading daily also quoted, "Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil is already on the programming charts of various cinemas in Pakistan. The film will be censored today. Kaabil was imported in Pakistan a couple of days after it released in India, but a few documents were pending submission. That was completed on January 30."
While the doors of the Indian cinemas are opened now in Pakistan, two more movies 'Ok Jaanu' and 'Jolly LL.B 2' are expected to release there after completing required procedures.
