December 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kanye West is certainly the flavor this fall with his album making it to the top most slots in the MTV Album of the year.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was running an almost parallel with Eminems Recovery when a decision to allow the MTV newsroom readers to vote for their favorite album was announced with a stipulated time of 24 hrs; there were an astounding 20,000 votes that ultimately helped in deciding the winner.

Kanye West won hands down with a 51% votes with Eminem closely following with 47 %.Kanye West has had a great fan following ever since his debut album The College Dropout and it just seems to be growing by dozens each day.

The other albums making it to the headlines despite Kanye West and Eminems major sweep of votes were Slim Shady, Big Bois Sir Lucious Left Foot; Son of Chico Dusty also saw a great number of votes. Then there was Rihannas Loud which was the only album to be voted in Tripple Digits, Robyn with Bodyline following quite closely.

After having the honor of being crowned the #1 Hottest MC in the game by MTV on the 16th of May 2008,this win for his album making it to the top slot in 2010 is yet another feather on Kanye Wests cap where he has been declared the clear winner with the critics and the consensus favorite among MTVS James Montgomery's votes all grounding for him.
