(Cover) - EN Star Style - Karen Elson has confirmed seeing Christina Hendricks beautiful red hair convinced her to colour her own.

The British model is famed for her flame-haired tresses. Christina is also renowned for her strawberry-coloured locks, which she has been dying ever since she was a little girl. In a recent interview Christina revealed it was her who advised Karen to reach for the dye at the beginning of her career, and Karen has now confirmed Christina was her style icon.

We did a shoot together and I remember her beautiful red hair, and I had the worst sort of strawberry blonde mousy hair, and she was like, Here, you should dye your hair red, its going to work for you, Karen explained. But then when I came to New York and I was about to work with Meisel and do the cover of Italian Vogue, he was going to choose red or black; and I willed the red. Thanks to Christina Hendricks, I willed it. So yeah, she did influence it.

Karen is thankful she finally took the plunge, as she thinks her hair is one of her most defining features. She loves the way the shade compliments her skin tone, and now cant think why she didnt colour her hair sooner. (C) Cover Media
