In the next few months, Kollywood actor Karthi Sivakumar will have two released in Telugu. One is the bilingual "Shakuni" ("Saguni" in Tamil) and the other is Alex Pandian, the dubbed version of his forthcoming Kollywood movie of the same title.
"Shakuni" is directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal with "Baava" fame Pranitha playing the heroine. 'It is a comic political satire and I play an interesting role. This is my first film on politics,' says the "Aavara" and "Yuganiki Okadu" hero.
Alex Pandian is directed by Suraj and the film has Anushka opposite Karthi. A full-length commercial entertainer, Alex Pandian was shot inside deep forests in Kerala amidst difficulties. 'I am happy to work with Suraj who is a name to reckon with in commercial flicks,' Karthi said.
Meanwhile, Siruthai, Karthi's Tamil film which was inspired by Telugu hit "Vikramarkudu", is currently being remade in Hindi by Prabhu Deva as "Rowdy Rathore". Shooting is almost over and the movie is expected to hit the screens in April.
