Katherine Heigl wants her daughter to work for her first car so will try hard to stop spoiling her.
The actress and her husband Josh Kelley are parents to three-year-old Naleigh, who they adopted in 2009.
Katherine is determined to give her daughter as normal an upbringing as possible.
"I'm aware of the fact that my child will grow up differently than others. But we want her to go to a public school in Utah and work for her first car," she told the German edition of Grazia. "This will be tough for me because I like to spoil her. I tend to buy her everything, so I have to restrain myself!"
Katherine is famous for starring in Grey's Anatomy, although she left the show under a cloud when she appeared to criticise the writers.
She has previously been accused of being a diva to work with, something she hotly disputes.
"I find it very harsh if people who don't even know me hate me. You are welcome to not like my work but I never behaved like a diva or was disrespectful or mean," she said.
"It may be that I was too open and that I made what I didn't like obvious. But now I know how to present myself better - I still have my opinion and my temper, it's just that I keep certain thoughts to myself. But I'd still say what I don't like even if I scandalise people."
