(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katherine Jackson says that she wasn't kidnapped by her children because they "would not do that."

The 82-year-old matriarch of the famous musical family has been at the centre of a drama-filled few days stemming from when her grandchildren, Michael's kids Paris, Prince and Blanket, claimed they had not spoken to her in over a week which was not like her.

Katherine was apparently taken to a spa in Arizona by some of her offspring but there are reports that it was against her will.

She called into ABC News on Wednesday, hours after losing custody of the kids during an emergency court hearing.

"There are rumours going around about me that I have been kidnapped," the elderly woman said. "I am here today to let everybody know that I am good and fine."

"My children would never do anything to me like that."

Katherine says that she felt like taking a "short vacation" and "one reason I didn't call is I just gave up my phone and I didn't want to have any phone calls while I was there."

"I am devastated that while I've been away, my grandchildren have been taken away from me, and I'm coming home," she added. (C) Cover Media
