Katy Perry's friends are reportedly happy she has vowed to take new romances slowly.

The American singer is currently going through a divorce from British comedian Russell Brand, following 14 months of marriage.

Her pals had become concerned she might leap into a new relationship too quickly, but she apparently has no intention of doing that.

"Katy has a tendency to get too involved with a man too quickly. It's her personality. She's definitely going to take things slower," a source told National Enquirer.

Katy is rumoured to be dating three men at the moment, although she's keeping their identities secret.

She has been spotted with model Baptiste Giabiconi, with the pair cosying up in Paris during the recent Fashion Week.

Katy is already thought to be planning a celebration to mark the official end of her marriage later this year. She will apparently take several friends to Africa for a safari over the summer.
